. . . Or, as one of our very successful sitters put it, only 2 nights caravan park rental to join up for 12 months ! (Some parks, it would only cover 1 night!!).

  Registration may take up to 24 hours as all entries are manually checked before listing - we will send an email acknowledgment.

  - You do NOT need a Paypal account - You may pay from your own bank account or credit card or Amex / Diners cards or, if you have one, direct from your Paypal account Click here

• No Computer or email address?
  You don't need an email address to register as available for house sitting.
  Many sitters rely solely on telephone contact - we recommend a mobile if at all possible.

Please keep us up to date with your availability so we can keep the directory as up to date as possible - a short email will do and, in return, we'll keep you near the top of each section.

Why register for house sitting?
. . . so owners know you are available . . .
Whilst some owners will list a wanted ad, many feel more comfortable with a little control over which "stranger" they're going to invite into their home and prefer to select from the list of registered house sitters available.
Registering and building a history does add credibility to you and your availability as a potential sitter and also gives you the opportunity to write a little about yourself and why the owners should select you.
Also, various localised agencies around Australia seek sitters from our database - the people who haven't registered will miss out.

How to make your house sitting ad work !
Home owners make their own selections as to who they think will best suit their needs to make direct contact with so read over your description as if you were a home owner.
Your ad should tell them why they should use you - basically along the lines of what you would look for in a sitter for your own home.
Don't embellish but do include any relevant experience with looking after homes, pets, gardens, etc.
The more flexible you can be as to areas and dates, the better.
Remember, the better your ad - the better your chances - so do think about what you write.

Don't forget, once you've got a sit, let us know your new available dates and we'll move you back to the top.

Changing Details
You may change your details for FREE at any time including adding or changing areas / dates you might be available for.
Either use our update details form or simply send an email with the details to sit@housesitworld.com.au and we'll fix it from there.
