Unfortunately the internet has opened the door for some unscrupulous persons who will try various scams
This is an internet-wide problem which we, and our competitors, are continuing to battle.

Please remember...

As house sitting usually works on the basis of free rent in exchange for normal
day-to-day live-in duties, any offer of salary/wages should be viewed with suspicion
and assistance in travel expenses is NOT normal.

Bonds
Whilst many owners don't seek a bond, it is quite common and acceptable for owners to request one, equivalent to 2 - 4 weeks rental.
 This should never be sent in advance and only paid in person to the owner once you have inspected the property and are about to take over responsibility for the property.
Always get a receipt and include details of the bond in your written agreement (see www.housesitworld.com/howitworks.htm#Agreements )
The amount will vary from one sit to another as each home / situation is different.
It may also be advisable to consider having a mutually agreed third party hold the bond or even a solicitor.

Definitely do NOT provide your bank account details to anyone
and make your own travel arrangements through bona fide travel agents.

We are doing our best to reduce this sort of unwanted mail

As for your salary, I will be paying you 2,000 Pounds every 4 weeks and a pocket fee of 100 Pounds weekly which I suppose should be Okay by you.
I would also want to know if you have visa to work in (UK).Please send me your photo and your scanned copy of your international passport ........
