• Hello, my name is Anuschka and I want to do house-sitting.
  I grew up with five siblings (three older ones and two kid siblings) and so I know what it means to keep house. e.g. a house in order and to be well structured and organised. Also we learned to accept responsibility for each other and the things we do!
  My parents set great value upon discipline; otherwise we would descend into chaos.
  We had a cat, named Oggel, for whom I was responsible. Unfortunately we never had a dog, but I worked as a dog sitter and this way I imagine I had my own dog. Not for money, only for fun, because I love them. Well, all right, sometimes I got chocolate or liquorice, which I also love.
  2006 I left home to live in Hamburg in my own flat, strictly speaking in my first share flat with two other people.

  Old-fashioned reliability and a belief that "your word is your bond". I've lived by that all my life and apply it to the house sits I do. I've already done a dozen house sit assignments ranging from Perth to New Zealand and generally involving at least one dog or cat.

  Old-fashioned reliability and a belief that "your word is your bond". I've lived by that all my life and apply it to the house sits I do. I've already done a dozen house sit assignments ranging from Perth to New Zealand and generally involving at least one dog or cat.

• Having now retired (hooray), we're driving to Brisbane in July, then exploring Qld-NSW areas Oct to mid-Dec.
  We have lived in the NT permanently since 1974, survived Cyclone Tracy(+), ran our own business for over 20 years (up to a dozen employees at a time, many long term), and worked for private employers/government departments before and after that. The provision of references, police checks and any other information required is easily arranged.
  Animals have always featured prominently in our lives. We currently have a domestically bred part-dingo (great pet which will be well cared for whilst we're away) plus a resident frog with its own bucket-home in the laundry, not to mention the spiders, geckos, centipedes, scorpions and so on - always interesting, with years of experience which have taught us to efficiently cope with traumas and emergencies.
  We're easy-going but, at the same time, very conscientious, between us enjoy travelling, walking, cooking, reading, computing (have our own laptop), preferring the quiet life in the company of family, friends and acquaintances, old and new.
  We understand and appreciate the concern of owners that their property and pets are cared for safely and securely, as we our ours, and would expect to receive very comprehensive information about routines, household requirements, 'special' animal treats, etc., all information to ensure we are in a position do a good job. Signing agreements, very acceptable.
  Our intention is to spend from October to mid-December exploring the Queensland and NSW countryside, ending up in Byron Bay for Christmas. As well as touring the area, our idea is to see whether we feel we would like to retire to one of the eastern states, hence we have no specific travel itinerary, as yet.
  So, we look forward to being able to coordinate our trip around house sitting arrangements which we hope to win between October and mid-December.

  We jumped off the treadmill relatively early, met 12-years ago in South America while we were doing voluntary work, and have been managing to balance our lives ever since with some less stressful paid work, voluntary work and lots of travel.
