I am a legal secretary, for the past 20 years working for a Queen's
Counsel in Christchurch. I am now working for a law firm in Brisbane. My
husband, Peter, is a retired builder, who had been involved in the
building industry for over 40 years running his own business.
We spent a year in Australia having bought our fox terrier 11 year and our
cat of 15 years over with us. While in Australia we had to put our cat
down due to cancer. We returned to N.Z taking with us our foxie and a very
neglected 10 year old Labrador we adopted while in Australia. In the 18
months we were in N.Z. we lost both our dogs to cancer. Our Labrador had a
wonderful year with us going to work every day with Peter and Tezza our
foxie and lots of walks in the pine forest.
We returned to Australia in June 2010 to house sit and also to look after
a couples dog while they were away for 5 months.
We returned back to New Zealand January of this year and because of the
earthquakes in Christchurch have only just returned in September.
We are at present house sitting in Brisbane and available again
17th July 2012.
Due to not now having pets of our own, we are very interested in minding a
house with pets as we are avid pet lovers.

cat, A teenage male who is an extremely fluffy exhibitionist, and a flirty
girl. I have experienced a total of 7 kittens being born in our
house and I have watched them all grow up into adults and have
really experienced their different temperaments and how they are all
unique. I have had 13 in total over the years, My beloved Burmese Mama
Puss died recently but lived to 21 years. And unfortunately one has cancer
at the moment and has been going through Chemotherapy. So as you can
imagine I am extremely confident in looking after cats, I can handle them
at their worst and their best, and everything in between! =)
I completely understand the requirements you may have, and prefer it to be
that way as I understand how daunting it may be to leave your home/babies
in the hands of a complete stranger. I feel confident that you would only
need to speak to me once to keep your mind at ease, however I am honest
and If I don't feel confident that I meet you
requirements, I won't
pursue the housesit. I want things to work and I am not looking for a free
ride but rather
genuinely interested in the idea of both parties benefiting from me
house-sitting your house.
Plus I adore the company of cats =)
