Regarding a recent caution we posted in regard to home/pet owner "Cheryl"

This was in response to a report from an established sitter and accepted based on their history with us.
Our caution was meant to stress the need to visit the property prior to agreement (if possible) to ensure everyone knew what was involved.
Unfortunately, we failed to offer Cheryl the chance to respond or comment on the purported need for this caution, which we most definitely should have.
In view of this alone, we apologise to Cheryl.
In view of her subsequent comments on the actual sit, we may well have added insult to injury.

• We are Leon and Barbara, Australians who have been living in Canada for the past thirty-five years and we love to travel. We are non-smokers and non-drinkers, happily married for forty years and in good health.

• I am a semi retired female who enjoys travel and new experiences, and a non smoker, non drinker.  I have previously worked as a nanny with sole care and responsibility for maintaining their precious household, children and animals, while the parents were overseas for several weeks at a time so consequently I have a nationwide police clearance. • We are Rodney(64yrs) & Rose(50yrs) and we hail from Adelaide. Rose was born in the Philippines, has lived here for 27years and has been an Australian citizen for 19years. I am a retired geophysicist, and in 2004 Rose closed a successful house cleaning service to join me in retirement.

  We enjoy yoga, isometrics and tai chi regularly every morning for some years now. we walk each day, and also ride push bikes, play table tennis and fish, but primarily we surf.
  Since 2004 we have been spending 6 to 8 months of each year, the southern winter, on a tropical beach on the western pacific rim, north of the equator, in a home rented by us. A small eco-frontier island, Calicoan island belongs to the Philippines. Great surf out front is the reason we are there.
  In the northern winter, November thro' April, the north east monsoons blow on our weather coast, 'spoiling' the surf and the ambience. That is when we come home to see our family and friends.
  In early 2007 we sold our Moana beach house in S.A. to give us more options in our retirement.
  We sponsor local village kids thro' primary and secondary school, and teach them to surf with equipment that would otherwise not be available to them. In the tropics we are both writing, short stories and an autobiography. In between surf's we kayak, read, make shell jewellery and enjoy siesta's.

• We are retired professionals who have just sold our 22 acres hobby farm in Kingaroy Qld. We are experienced in caring for animals of most varieties and willing to learn more. Because of our background a small holding to look after would be ok as would be a town property.
  We have a very old Dalmatian that travels with us. She is no problem as she also has her own bed. (But this may change due to her age!! so contact us anyhow).
  We are quiet (no parties), fussy and love gardening, bush walks and reading, understand bores and water saving.

• We are an independent retired professional couple who would very much like to undertake a period of housesitting in either Australia or New Zealand. During the past few years we have spent 2 very enjoyable holidays in each of these countries and wish to return for a longer visit to either country as residents for a longer period rather than as tourists.
  Both of us are non smokers and in very good health. We are very active by playing golf and bowls and by walking, swimming and gardening.
